Funding & Finance For Air Source Heat Pump Systems

Clear long-term savings are made to a household by installing an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) in a property, and indeed this technology also increased the value of a home. But there is inevitably an up-front cost to the installation project, which can be tricky to meet. Luckily, there are a number of different options for financing an Air Source Heat Pump project.

Firstly, there’s the outright payment, which relies on sufficient personal savings and immediate capital. Then there’s the option of extending your mortgage, which can be a good manageable route to heat pump financing. There’s also the option of a bespoke personal loan; either with a bank or a specialised green energy financing company.

Finally, there’s a new method. Some third-party companies are offering property owners an Air Source Heat Pump at reduced cost, in return for a proportion of the customer’s Domestic RHI payments. We’ve partnered with one of these innovative organisations, and are please to say that we now offer ASHP funding.

This development has the potential to make renewable energy yet more accessible to UK households and commercial properties, and we welcome any initiative which makes the switch easier.

What is included in a funded Air Source Heat Pump installation?

  • Funding to cover all or most of the heat pump system installation process
  • Product and workmanship warranty
  • Insurance backed warranty
  • MCS and RECC accredited installation
  • Pay system costs back from the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)
  • Minimum capital expenditure
  • Reduced carbon footprint
  • Full ownership of the system from the first day of use

This funding offer is available to all property owners who wish to install and Air Source Heat Pump on a property that doesn’t use mains gas for heating and/or hot water. The level of funding is dependent on each individual situation, and is calculated based on the demands of the property.

Additional considerations

In some cases but not all, the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump will require planning permission. This depends on your specific property, and we can help you through this process. It’s important to note that your property should meet energy efficiency standards to qualify for the RHI scheme, and therefore you will need to pay for an energy assessment survey.

Naturally, there are more detailed terms and conditions associated with this funding agreement, which are all outlined clearly in advance of installation. Overall, it is a simple agreement that provides easy access to Air Source Heat Pump financing in a very manageable way.

Minimum up-front costs, and a very sustainable payment schedule. Call us to learn how this can work for you.
